CHEERing is always looking for volunteers, interns, and students who want to spend time in the Athens area working on a range of projects: helping with our Grow Clinics, distributing supplies, coaching football, cooking, and teaching.

We have an experienced onsite staff who will help you adjust and can mentor new team members with student placements, Erasmus programs (Erasmus Plus, Erasmus Entrepreneurs), practicums, and general volunteer opportunities.

Our team is diverse – at the time of posting, we have staff and volunteers from Afghanistan, Iran, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Greece, England, Portugal, the US and Norway. We are also officially affiliated with Boston University Schools of Medicine and Public Health, the University of Nicosia Medical School, Cyprus, and operate as a placement center for the University of Sheffield Medical School.

We ask for a 3 month minimum commitment, and sometimes have housing available. We particularly like applicants with healthcare, public health, nutrition, and football coaching skills, and we need people who can drive a very old van with gears.
