CHEERing receives inaugural funding from Boston University’s Center on Forced Displacement

The Center for Health Equity, Education, and Research (CHEER) has received a seed grant from the Boston University Center on Forced Displacement (CFD) to support CHEERing’s international refugee work in greater Athens, Greece. This inaugural funding signifies the university’s investment in our international work.

CHEERing Executive Director and Founder Anne Merewood MPH, PhD, affiliated faculty at the CFD, and Shelley Brown MPH, PhD, from Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, will lead the project titled Health on the fly: Researching health needs, barriers, and perceptions of health interventions among refugees in greater Athens, Greece. Learn more here.

We look forward to getting started on this project, collaborating with the CFD, and disseminating our findings!
