CHEERing is participating in the ERASMUS Mundus Masters degree in Public Health Disasters, by hosting ERASMUS Mundus students onsite in Athens for 3 months. Our 1st ERASMUS student, Rana Sabreen, arrived in Athens to begin her 3 month internship in November 2020. The degree is awarded through a joint university education program shared by the University of Nicosia (Cyprus); the Universidad de Oveido (Spain), and the Karolinska Insitutet (Sweden). Students will work hands on with the CHEERing team with refugee mothers and infants in camps and shelters in the Athens region. COVID has made this a double-hit disaster; we’re sure the students will gain solid 1st hand experience on the front lines of public health disasters!
