Usually CHEERing works in mainland camps, but last weekend 2 of our volunteers went to Lesbos to help residents at the notorious ‘new Moria’ camp.

Our Vitamin Angels program, supplied by https://vitaminangels.org/ , is perfect for providing one-time aid in extreme conditions. We gave out the classic high dose vitamin A and deworming medicines to over 40 children under 5, and multivitamins to many pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Many thanks to our program manager Adrian, who has personal connections inside the camp that allowed us to set this up and carry it out successfully.

We will be back. The need for preventive healthcare is vast.
