CHEERing receives the European Solidarity Corps Quality Label

CHEERing has been accredited with the European Solidarity Corps Quality Label! This certifies that CHEERing can provide activities in compliance with the principles, objectives, and quality standards of the European Solidarity Corps.

The Quality Label means CHEERing can participate in European Solidarity Corps opportunities, including the European Voluntary Service (EVS) program, funded by the EU. The EVS offers young adults between the ages of 18 and 30 the opportunity to volunteer abroad for charitable work, develop new skills, and gain intercultural experience. The host organization, in turn, receives support in carrying out its activities and benefits from the commitment and new ideas of the young volunteers.

CHIKA NWAKA

Our first volunteer coming in, thanks to the new accreditation, is Chika Nwaka, who holds an MSc in Global Health & Development from the University College London and a BSc in Biology and Psychology from the University of Toronto. She is hugely passionate about child and maternal health and mental health. Having had several early career experiences with a range of NGOs, Chika hopes to continue a career advocating for the health and well-being of the most vulnerable. Her exchange is supported by the Swiss branch of the International Culture Youth Exchange and funded by the Movetia Foundation.
